Betty Wilhite and her family loved Lake Tenkiller so much that for 18 years they traveled from New Mexico to enjoy the beautiful Lake Tenkiller area. Betty Curtis and her family have been coming to Lake Tenkiller for over 35 years. In 1992 ,after her husband retired from the Army , they decided to settle down here at Lake Tenkiller. Catherine Truitt has been selling real estate in the lake area for several years. After renting a cottage near the lake, driving down every available weekend for peace and quiet, they bought a house and now reside on Lake Tenkiller full time. Angela Lovell grew up in the Sallisaw area, attended Oklahoma State University, then moved back to the Tenkiller area acquiring her first home.
