GTAA Boat Parade "Tenkiller Goes Hollywood"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mark your calendars and decorate your boats Sat June 21, 2-3 pm! It's time for the GTAA Lake Tenkiller Boat Parade. The decorating theme for this year is "Tenkiller Goes Hollywood".
Just use your imagination and the theme becomes a wealth of possibilities from vaudeville to MTV! Have a favorite movie star? Movie? Show us your best! There is no entry fee and boaters can sign up at participating
marinas after June 1, 2008. Look for the boat parade banners at participating marinas. Boaters will be given an entry number upon registering for the boat parade by the participating marina.
The boat parade is sponsored by the Greater Tenkiller Area Association again this year. Cash prizes are being donated by Budweiser of Muskogee, Tenkiller Property.com and Tenkiller Liquor. First place is $500, second place is $250 and third place is $100. In addition, trophies are being donated by Max's Lakeside Restaurant for first, second and third place winners.
The parade judging will take place between 2-3 pm at Snake Creek Island. Two judge's boats will be moored at this location for decorated boats to pass between. At 5 pm, the awards ceremony will take place at Max's Lakeside Restaurant, Snake Creek Marina,
Max's Lakeside at Snake Creek Marina
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Allan Cotner introduces a new look and feel to Snake Creek Marina in 2008. Max's Lakeside is open for business. Memorial Day weekend was a smashing success with visitors enjoying live music, liquor by the drink and hot food. If you are looking for a great time, awesome service, friendly people and pretty bartenders, Max's Lakeside is the place to be.

Featured at Max's, is the famous "David's Pontoon Burger", a 3 topping pizza for just $16.00, sub sandwiches with all the fixings, chips, candy, pop, other

convenience store amenities, the "coldest beer on the lake" in the patented by Budweiser 27 degree aluminum bottles, a full bar with liquor by the drink and strong beer.

Come down and say hello to the new crew as well as familiar faces from last year.

GTAA Fireworks Extravaganza

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's time to start thinking about the 2008 fireworks display. This extravaganza will take place on Friday, July 4, 2008 at the south end of the dam on beautiful Lake Tenkiller at dusk. You can expect a great show again this year with the advantage of the holiday being on a Friday. We hope you will come early in the week and stay as long as you can to take in other attractions and events in the area. The event is funded only by businesses and individuals who have a genuine interest in seeing that this fireworks tradition continues for the enjoyment of both lake visitors and surrounding communities.
With your contribution of $100 or more, you will receive a one-year membership to the Greater Tenkiller Area Association. The benefits of the membership include, but are not limited to area maps, business referrals, brochure display and distribution, committee opportunities, listing on the web page which averages more than 190,000 hits per month in the summer and 50,000 hits per month in the winter, marketing opportunities, membership directory, relocation leads, representation in the Visitor's Guide which has a circulation of 75,000 and representation at Boat and Travel Shows.
Tenkiller Property.com LLC, a leading real estate brokerage firm on Lake Tenkiller, located in Eastern Oklahoma, was recognized number 91 in Entrepreneur magazine's annual "HOT 100" listing of America's top fast-growth businesses and the entrepreneurs who built them. In its May 2008 issue, Entrepreneur compiled this list with the help of research provider CentrisPoint and its database of 21 million U.S. businesses. Of the nearly 21 million companies on the preliminary list, only 0.3% made the first cut, and just a fraction of those made it to the Hot 100, including Tenkiller Property.com
